We have had a great holiday weekend. Probably one of the best ever.

Thursday night we had dinner with some friends and it was really awesome. Got home about 1am.

Friday morning we woke up and headed to the pool with our friends the Sewell's, Stidham's, and Coronnas. Hung out there all day. I had never been on a water slide before, so I did that for the first time on Friday. It was so much fun. That pool (Lenora Park) was awesome.

Came home and showered and then went to the Sewell's house for a cookout. Matt (the husband) had a soccer game so I grilled out. I cooked BBQ chicken tenders and legs. It was so yummy. We then played Cranium and just hung out. Great Night.

Saturday we did what we always do and I think this years BBQ at the Winkings was the best ever. It was just so must fun. We played Washer's and the kids played around in the sprinklers. We ate burgers and chicken and ate a lot of food and some yummy pound cake.

Today we went to church ate lunch with my mom and dad and friends at church and then came home and the girls all took a nap while I grocery shopped.

Tonight is Way Street (Our kids ministry) and then home to relax. Good times had by all.

How was your weekend?

I asked this question about 6 years ago and I cannot find that post.

When you log into a computer and it has 3 usernames, is there a way to use some admin password or tool to log into one of the usernames if you do not know the password?

Hard drive back up help

A couple of years ago I had an issue where I needed help backing up my dead hard drive.

I posted about it and some people posted links to software to do it. Those links now require you to buy the software before you can copy or save the file from the hard drive.

I have my hard drive in an enclosure and I can see the files using the software packages, but again cannot buy it.

Does anyone have a data recovery software or key I can use to back up my hard drive?

Thank you

As Livejournal celebrates their 10 year anniversary, I celebrate my 9 year.

I cannot believe I have been on this thing for 9 years. Amazing how much fun I have had in that time. And just as amazing is how much I have changed over the past 9 years.

When I started this, I was a single dad of a 6 year old. Now I have a 15 year old, a 3 year old and a 1 year old and married. AMAZING!

I do think most people are falling out of livejournal. With other social networking groups like Facebook and Myspace and then the twitter people (I just ignore twitter).

Livejournal has been great and I have met so many fun and interesting people because of it.

I just want to thank everyone for their friendship and help over the past 9 years.

Do you believe in Coincidence?

  • Apr. 22nd, 2009 at 11:03 AM
believe
I haven't written anything on my faith in awhile. I have two posts I want to write, but will start with one on coincidence.

I have actually never believed in it. I guess this is my root upbringing in church, but coincidence seems to be an excuse for not believing in a higher power.

Over the past year there have been so many things happen that I really can't keep track of it all. Were they all coincidence? Not likely. Mainly because I do not believe in that word.

I wanted to write out a few of these to try and explain my belief better. I do want to specify that this is my belief and things that have actually happened in MY life which is why I cannot believe in some word and this helps strengthen my belief in God.

I have written before about dreams I have. Most are skeptical on what I write about with my dreams (even though a few have already come true). Anyway, there is usually something specific that happens after the dreams I have that help validate them.

1) Over the past year I have felt it was needed for me to write out some of my dreams. If not for me to clear my head and write it out, then to let YOU know about it as to what is going to happen. Because of the negative feedback I have gotten from this process, one particular time I just prayed for God to show me that this is what I am supposed to do and not something I get giddy about and want to write about. There is a higher purpose for my writing.

In this instance the next night I was driving and listening to some pastor on the radio. THE ONLY reason I listened to this guy was because he had a nice voice. I had never heard of him and was just flipping through channels on the radio and I heard him say the statement "God gives us gifts of many kind, do you know your gift?" I was intrigued because of his voice, but also his topic of conversation. The next few sentences were the following, "One of the greatest gifts is the gift of prophecy and being able to explain to people what will come is a great tool that God gives us. If they see the signs happen from what you have told them, then you have been a great witness to those people. They might not believe now, but after everything you have discussed starts to happen, their eyes will be open and remember your words." This answered my question.

2) Another night I had a dream about Obama being in a meeting with the president of Turkey (this dream happened in January). It was a peace meeting and I am not sure what the context of the meeting was in the dream, but it felt like it had significance.

In April Obama visited Turkey to speak to the Arab nations to try and bring Peace. The pictures from the meeting were exactly as they were in my dream (there is more to this, but I won't mention it and it has NOTHING to do with the terms anti-christ... Obama is NOT the anti christ)

3) In June of last year, I had a dream where President Obama was in Iraq and talking to the leaders in Iraq to work and get the country into shape and what he could do as US President.

In July he went to Iraq and met with the leaders. It was at this point that I knew he would become President. Not because I saw this happen, but because I felt it was important enough. I still did not vote for him.

4) I had a dream about the battle for Israel. The United States was not part of this battle. Israel was fighting alone. The United States since the 60's has been the main ally of Israel. I could not figure out why we were not backing them in this dream. Where is the United States?

The next day I get a package in the mail. It was two books that I had never orderd. One was called "The Late Great US". I did not open the package, but the bill and looked online to find out what this book was. I thought it was a marriage book maybe Katrina had ordered. Nope, it was a book about why the United States is NOT part of the final battle of Armageddon.

5) We had a financial snafu and is making things really tight for us. I just prayed to God to get us through the month.

Within a week, Katrina got a $200 study payment and I got a $150 award for work (I have never ever gotten an award at work). This covers the Snafu we had.

There are many many more of these things. Actually things like this happen weekly on a smaller scale, but because of this there is no doubt in my beliefs.

"If you can't be different than the world, then you won't make an impact." - Jo Jo Thomas

Will I make an impact on this world? No, but I can try. I am an insignificant person and I love my friends. The things I have learned over the past year and the changes I have made have built that love I have for you guys even stronger. I realize most of you do not have a belief system. I know most of you think I am kinda nuts. It doesn't matter, what matters is I care. However you interpret what I write, that is fine, just know I love you.

Just remember I was once a lonely porn photographer. People can change.

U.S. dollar worth $0.35

Do you think the Chinese government will abandon the U.S. dollar?

Last week China's premier hinted that Beijing is concerned about its creditor-debtor relationship with the U.S.

What will happen if they do?

China no longer has an incentive to hold U.S. dollars, and China sees an opportunity to become the dominant player in the world.

What are your thoughts? Do you keep up with this stuff? Do you even care what China does?

Online Registry Cleaner

Does anyone know of a free online registry cleaner that does not make you download software.

We have a computer where we cannot download anything (the grey download box that says run > save > cancel) never pops up. There are no pop up blockers and I have tried to run Internet Explorer 7.0 with no add ons and it still doesn't work.

No Firewall issues and no external pop up blocker, so I am not sure why except I tried to uninstall IE 7.0 and that caused all the problems. I reinstalled it and since then I cannot download anything.

So if someone knows of an online registry cleaner that is free and does not require you to download anything it would be much appreciated.

Horrible Day - sickness

Woke up at 5am and felt a rumbly in my tumbly. Proceeded to the bathroom and had an explosion. Uh Oh! Katrina had the stomach flu on Tuesday.

At 7am, I proceeded to have it come out of both ends. Ugh!

Blake was with his mom and he called me at 7:30pm. He had the same thing. :-(

Been laying in bed all day and still feel horrible. Haven't puked since this morning, but explosive poops all day.

I now have a massive headache and I am scared to take Tylenol as i will probably throw it up. I did eat some applesauce.

Gonna be a long night.

Katrina came home from church and said she isn't feeling good either. *sigh

We had a great weekend. On Saturday Blake, veronica, Savannah and I headed out to pick up a bike for Savannah. Someone was giving it to us, and Savannah was super excited. This is her first bike. We picked it up and then headed over to the [info]dawinkins and hung out with them for a little bit. Always good to see them. We then went home and met up with Katrina and we got Savannah in her bike gear and started to teach her how to ride.

She did pretty good, but was having trouble getting herself started. It was so pretty outside so we started to play basketball. It was a lot of fun and a good time with the family.

On Sunday morning my parents, the [info]dawinkins and Katrina's friend Sonia came to church with us for Veronica's baby dedication. The dedication was priceless. Veronica is such a little doll, she loves the pastor and when he was holding her she put her head on his shoulder and and just looked up at him. A lot of kids start crying and stuff, but not her. He mentioned how sweet she was and then sat her on the podium and acted like he was just going to start preaching. Very funny and very cute and Veronica just sat there like "Cool, I like being up high".

After church we all went to Chilis and had a good time. We then came home and did some house stuff. On Sunday nights I would with the kids church and do skits. I am always "Grandpa Henry". The skit was funny and a lot of fun and the team is just great. One funny note, there is a part where I had to put a gold fish from a plastic bag into a fish bowl. Well, the person who setup the little tank did not think about how much water was in the bag and I started to pour the fish in the bowl it started to over flow. I had to make a decision and just dumped it all into the little bowl. Water was pouring out and well.. the fish stayed in the bag. I then reached in to grab the fish and he flopped onto the table. Oops! I grabbed him and put him in the bowl.

What was funny is at the beginning there was a dead fish which was a gummy fish (not real). So when I put this one in, all the kids were amazed it was a real fish. They were cute. Katrina was in the room with us during the show and video taped it although right when I dumped the fish or rather the water in the bowl, she was laughing to hard and cut the tape so you actually miss that part.

It was a great weekend and we took a lot of pictures. Here are a few.

Savannah - ill

Savannah had her first bout of constipation on Sunday Night. She has ALWAYS been like her dad and been very regular, but since she has been potty trained, we have cut back on her juice intake. In turn I think this has affected her poop.

So Sunday Night and yesterday morning we gave her tons of juice and tons of applesauce to get the poop flowing. YEah mission accomplished.... HOLY COW! She now has diarrhea. Now is this because of all the juice or is she fighting off the flu that a bunch of our friends currently have?

Well, she was feverish this morning and lathargic, but fine now.

We will keep an eye on it.

Saturday - woke up with crusty eyes and congested
Sunday - eyes were hurting bad
Monday - went to the doctor and I have pink eye. Also started cold like symptoms
Tuesday - still feeling like crap, throat hurt really bad (hurts to swallow) and had a 102 fever.
Wednesday - did not sleep well because veronica was up off and on all night. Had a fever twice today and currently battling a 100 degree temp. Also, Blake is sick with the same thing I have and now has a 100 degree temp.

I am trying to figure out if I might have Strep. I don't want to go back to the doctor tomorrow, but might have to. I checked the back of my throat and there were no white spots, and my throat has been feelng better throughout the day, but still achy and battling fevers. Is it the flu?

**UPDATE***
Thursday 3:30pm- woke up feeling better. Throat hurt really bad, but the headache, congestion and blah feeling was gone. Did some light housework and worked from home and then about 2pm I got another fever. *sigh I now feel blah and feverish again and I still did not see any spots on my throat.

UPDATE: Friday: Blake, Katrina and I went to the doctor. She said it is probably some virus and gave me some antibiotics. I felt better the next day and just had a stuffy nose the rest of the week.

Pink Eye and sickness

I woke up on Saturday morning and my left eyes was watery and crusty. It was also partially shut and I could not open it.

Sunday it got worse.

I went to the doctor yesterday and I have pink eye in both eyes. I have been on my antibiotic drops for 24 hours now and my eyes feel better, but really watery now. Also yesterday my throat started to hurt and I am getting a cold. I am fighting it with Echinachea and Vitamin C.

Blake was up off and on last night and he is home today with a cold. He had a slight fever this morning, but feeling about the same as I do. House of BLAHS!

Veronica was sick last week and Savannah seems a little snotty. Katrina is also starting to get the sore throat thing. Fun times in the Beckham house. I just hope we get better by this weekend as we are going to Gatlinburg for the week.

Veronica Sick

Veronica has been sick for the past two nights. We think she is teething. We took her to the doctor a few months ago before she got her bottom teeth and she had the same symptoms. 101 fever, snotty nose and constant knawing on anything she can stick in her mouth (mostly her hand).

She wasn't as bad last night as she was the night before and as long as we keep doing the Tylenol/Motrin thing she seems to be ok.

I have said this before and I will say it again, going through this is the only thing keeping me from wanting more kids. Sick kids tear me up.

Hopefully Katrina will have a good day with the girls today. Savannah was really whiny yesterday. She is doing good at potty training though. We were driving around last night and she goes "I have to pee." I said, "ok we will stop and you can go." She says, "No I have to go now or I will pee in my pants". UGH!

We did make it to Wendy's and she went in the potty. I am proud of her. Only wearing a diaper at night and most nights she wakes up dry, but better safe than sorry for now.
